High and low achievers’ dominant learning style preferences in learning English

This study aims at finding the high and low achievers’ learning style preferences teachers’ understanding about students’ in English MAN 1 Banda Aceh. The survey of this used a combination quantitative qualitative methods. A questionnaire was to explore preferences, while an interview get specific information opinions on English. Willing (1988) category that consists communicative, concrete, authority-oriented analytical styles were used. result showed dominant communicative one with mean value 3.12 standard deviation 0.65. At same time, achievers also favoured 3.11 0.63. While shows teachers aware understood well In conclusion, by their characteristics absorbing information, students can develop skills various ways make it easier, faster more successful for them learning.
